Children's products must meet safety standards and testing requirements; unsafe toys are prohibited

What Etsy says

Children's products are subject to safety standards and regulations. Third-party lab testing is generally mandatory for all producers of toys and other children's products sold in the United States, and producers must create labels and issue a Children's Product Certificate (CPC).

How to stay compliant

  1. Delist any toy or children's product that has not undergone third-party safety testing as required by the CPSC.
  2. Obtain a Children's Product Certificate (CPC) for any toy marketed to children under 12 sold in the United States.
  3. Add required choking hazard warnings to any listing for toys with small parts marketed to or accessible by children under 3.
  4. Review ASTM F963 (toy safety standard) compliance requirements before relisting children's products.
